And we’re back!
The international break has just about wrapped up. Hopefully your team’s international players aren’t coming back with injuries, jet lag, or fatigue. For example, FC Barcelona notoriously suffers from the “FIFA virus,” which is that they only win 31% of their games right after an international break (as opposed to a 81% win rate normally.) Their rivals in the league, Real Madrid CF, seem to be strangely immune to the FIFA virus, winning 84% of the first games back after an international break (as opposed to 77% normally.)
How do you think the FIFA virus will effect the two this weekend? Real Madrid will be facing off in a tough match against Valencia CF, the third-ranked team in the league. Barcelona will be up against sixteenth-place Real Zaragoza.
Above is the total number of minutes players of Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Valencia played with their national teams this week.
