CA Osasuna defeated Levante UD today 2-0, ending Levante’s amazing 9 game unbeaten streak. Levante has been this season’s underdog heroes, rising dramatically from last season’s 14th position to 1st place in La Liga this season—all while fielding a veteran starting eleven that often had an average age of over 30.
Only two teams remain unbeaten in La Liga now: FC Barcelona and Sevilla FC.
Levante now drops to third in the table, behind Barcelona and the new league leader Real Madrid CF.
